2016 Ryder Cup v Marcies
The 5th edition of the Annual Ryder Cup event between Kildalkey GS and Marcies (Trim) took place on Saturday 17th September, 2016 at Knightsbrook Golf Resort, Trim. Kildalkey retained the cup by a score of 10.5 - 7.5 and in so doing are the first to win the series back to back.
Congrats to Captain David Dolan and his team on a fine performance, as the title was still in the balance with Marcies 1up with the last two teams still to come in. Four points from four in the final pairs showed either a genius Captain's choice of pairs and start positions or just pure luck.
Refreshments and presentations were held in Marcies, Trim. So now, no pressure on our 2017 Captain to again retain the Cup in Kildalkey.

2015 Ryder Cup
The 4th edition of the Annual Ryder Cup event between Kildalkey GS and Marcies (Trim) took place on Saturday 3rd October, 2015 at Rathcore GC. Kildalkey were victorious on this occasion with a rather large margin of victory by a score of 13-5. It is the 3rd time in 3 years that the cup changed hands with neither side having managed to retain it since inception. The only blot on the copy book of the day was that John O'Connor failed to score a single point. We look forward to a renewed challenge in 2016. Refreshments and presentations were held back in the Snug House with thanks to Sean and Jackie for the food.

2014 Ryder Cup
Marcies (Trim) took back the Ryder Cup trophy from Kildalkey GC on Saturday 11th October, 2014 which was played in Co. Meath GC.The score was 9.5 to 8.5. Kildalkey just needed a half point from the final group to retain the cup, but it wasn't to be. The morning foursomes started out in foggy conditions, which lifted for a fine afternoon in the singles. The cup may well have been retained before the final group completed, as a wrong ball was played earlier in the day and the game was conceded to Marcies.
Kildalkey lost the morning foursomes by a score of 4 to 2, but by mid afternoon had clawed that back and were up 5 to 3 in the singles and all square in the other match. That made it 7 a piece with all to play for over the last remaining few holes covering three matches. But Marcies emerged victors this year. The overall score is now 2-1 to Marcies and we hope to even that up in 2015.

2013 Ryder Cup
The return event was held on 15th September 2013 again at Knightsbrook. This time Kildalkey got revenge for the defeat the previous year and by a similar score of 10½ to 7½. Refreshments were provided by Kildalkey GS back at the Snug House where the Ryder Cup changed hands and was presented to Kildalkey Captain Trevor Darling.
The 2014 event will take place on 11th October in County Meath GC.

2012 Ryder Cup - First Match
The inaugural Ryder Cup event between Kildalkey Golf Society and Marcies Golf Society (Trim) took place on 13th October 2012 in Knightsbrook Hotel and Golf Resort in Trim.
The competition is played over 18 holes and features the best 12 players from both Societies based on their performance during the year. The front 9 holes is made up of foursomes with the back 9 holes being singles.
Marcies took the honours by a score of 10½ to 7½
Refreshments were provided by Marcies back at Jack Regans where the Ryder Cup was presented to Marcies winning Captain.
